Gerlóczy Café and Hotel

I went here yesterday with a friend from school. This was an old apartment building, turned into a cafe and hotel. It's really lovely, especially the stairwell and the stained glass ceiling.

We decided it was too nice to sit inside, so moved out to the patio.

Budapest is known for fruit soups. I've always seen them in cookbooks, but never thought I'd like them.  But, just like that old expression When in Rome.... When in Budapest, try the fruit soups.

Inside the hotel is lovely- the stairwell is beautiful

Loved the colors here and the light on the walls.
